Answers At-A-Glance:
Bands/Groups
must have at least 2 members. No soloists.
Minimum age for band/group members is 14yo, but there must be somebody
over 21 accompanying any group/band with members under 18.
Any genre of music. The best band/group will win. Really - they will.
This is not a "popularity" contest - our judges are all seasoned
professionals from many facets of the music industry.
You must perform at least 2 original works during every set you play.
Covers are allowed for the balance of your set.
Sets are 18 minutes (MAX) with a 6-minute put-up and take-down. You
will be judged on how well you use your time.
There is a maximum of 60 bands/groups in the competition.
Preliminary rounds are 12 rounds of 5 bands, with the 12 round
winners and 8 wild-cards/previous finalists moving on to the
semi-finals.
The semi-final rounds will consist of 4 groups of five bands.
Set lengths will be increased to 20 minutes.
The top band from each semi-final round will
advance to the final round of competition.
The final round will also be 28 minute sets. There will be 1
grand-prize winner from the final competition. |
